Harassment
Unwanted, actions, words, or conduct aimed at an individual or a group with the intent to disturb or annoy them for no legitimate reason. Harassing behavior can be grounds for a lawsuit if conducted in a discriminatory manner based on sex or race, involving blackmail, violate statutory limitations on collection agencies, or involve revenge on an ex-spouse.
For instance, if former spouses do not reach a custody agreement, and one of the spouses continuously threatens the other with monetary sanctions, the victim can file a harassment lawsuit.
